Members Answering Questions

It’s simple. Companies use 1Q to send targeted market research questions or marketing offers/coupons to our members. Members receive these questions/offers, on their mobile phones via text or through the 1Q mobile app. Once members respond to the question OR offer, they instantly receive cash directly into their PayPal account. Companies in turn get instant, data rich, real-time results from their target demographics without having the delay or cost of traditional marketing or market research.

1Q is changing the rules; however, change takes time! Our sophisticated, proprietary technology has been in development for 2 years. It was born out frustration with companies and websites like Facebook, Linkedin, and Google who use and sell your information to make money and none of them pay you.

As we are currently in the final stages of beta mode, there will be a limited number questions sent to your phone. As more companies use 1Q and more members sign up, there will be even more questions.

As a member, 1Q is free to sign up, download, and use. In fact, we pay YOU for your responses! Earn up $.25 or $.50 (your choice) by responding to questions and offers.

More questions of course! If you want to maximize your earning potential, change your payout to the lower option. Members who select $.25 will get more questions!

Easy. You get questions straight to your mobile phone. There’s two ways to get questions: through our 1Q mobile app OR via text message. You will never get questions from 1Q via email. Just remember, you have the ability to earn more when you download the 1Q app to your smartphone. Just visit your local App Store or visit www.1q.com/app

PayPal! You respond, we send you cash to your secure PayPal email, and you get a confirmation.

It may take a few minutes to show up after you answer. We send payments to PayPal based on the email address you gave us when you registered. If you gave us a different address, don’t worry, just go back to your Profile (www.1q.com/profile) page and you can change your email address to your PayPal email at anytime.

Some members will always get more questions based on their demographics and geographics, but there are a few things you can do to increase the number you are eligible to receive:

  • Download the 1Q app and enable location tracking (link only works for iOS and Android devices)
  • Keep your profile page up to date
  • Select the lower payment option on your profile page. Members who select $.25 get more Askverts
  • Go to the App Store today and let everyone know just how easy (and awesome) 1Q is. More members lead to more customers, which lead to more questions…

Believe it or not, we get this question a lot.

We know you’re all used to companies using and abusing your personal information, so why would you believe we’re trying to pay you? It’s not enough for us just to say “we’re not a scam”. This is why you can check out ANY third party scam review website and see that our site has the ‘Highest Trust Rating’. Here’s one from ScamAdviser

We’ve spent millions of dollars on our technology, development, and servers to ensure that your data is kept secure. We deal in hundreds and thousands of transactions every day, and security is our top priority.

No worries! When you get your first payment, PayPal will send you an email telling you exactly how to claim your money, so make sure you use a valid email address.

If you had an old PayPal address and received a 1Q payment, you will need to claim that payment through PayPal. Unfortunately, once we send a payment to a PayPal email address, we cannot retrieve the payment. However, you can easily add email addresses to any PayPal account and still claim your funds.

Please email us with your charity name, tax ID, and website so we can verify your status.

Currently you must sign in to your profile at www.1q.com/profile and select a charity form our approved list on your Profile Page. You can keep track of the donations to date across our database and by individual non profile. Thanks for helping us change the world, 1 question at a time!

No worries! You can also sign up and create a profile online, and we’ll send you text messages to your mobile phone. Just be sure you keep your profile updated in case you ever move, get a new job, get married, etc.

But you should update your profile regularly. Especially if you move, get a new job (or a promotion), get married, or have a baby (or two). When you keep your profile updated, you won’t miss out on questions targeting you! The more current your information, the more questions you will get.

Bummer. What this means is the number of responses for that question has been reached. Some questions have to be answered faster than others, so always respond as quickly as you can. Don’t worry though, more questions are heading your way!

App Users: If you have downloaded our 1Q App (www.1q.com/app) you will get notified of questions with a push notification on your device. Make sure you enable push notifications/alerts with the notifications settings of your smartphone.

Text Users: You will receive the question in text message/SMS format. Just respond directly to the text message with your answer choice and voila!

There could be a few reasons why you aren’t seeing a payment for a question. First, make sure you have a correct and updated paypal account on file within your profile (www.1q.com/profile). This is the number one reason members don’t see payments to questions.

There could also have been a time limit or response limit on the question and you’ve missed the window of time - when this happens, however, we will notify you that the question has expired.

Lastly, you could be answering a Freevert. What’s a Freevert? A Freevert is a question that we here at 1Q use to better enhance our tool for our members. These questions will be marked as such in a separate section of the 1Q app or labeled “Freevert” on the text message. These questions help us make 1Q better and in turn get you more earning potential!

This is easy! Visit your profile online at www.1q.com/profile and press the blue ‘Select a Charity’ button on the left-hand side of the page. You can choose any one of our pre-approved and verified non profits. You can also monitor the progress of 1Q donations in total, or by charity on the list! Thanks for helping us change the world, 1 question at a time.

Nope! The 1Q app typically uses less than 1% of the battery on your phone, and that’s with location services enabled! We’ve invested millions of dollars into our proprietary technology You can always check to see what apps drain your battery by visiting the ‘Battery Usage’ section within your phone’s settings.

To get you more questions of course! Unlike other applications like Facebook, Google, Twitter, and Instagram, we don’t use your location to sell OR share your personal data. We use location services to push you new questions and offers based on your current location. We have companies using 1Q to target members when they are in a specific retail store to see if they were satisfied with their visit. We have other companies using location to send offers or coupons to members while they are in a certain location, like inside the Atlanta airport.

Enabling location services for your 1Q app means more earning potential for you! And remember, the 1Q app with location services turned ON typically uses less than 1% of your battery.

A Freevert is a question that we here at 1Q use to better enhance our tool for our members. They are optional, unpaid, questions to help us improve. These questions will be marked as such in a separate section of the 1Q app or labeled “Freevert” on the text message. These questions help us make 1Q better and in turn get you more earning potential!

Right now we're slowly rolling out new countries. But in the meantime, please provide us your email address at 1Q Coming Soon and we'll email you when your country is available! We will be focused on adding english speaking countries first.

NEVER. We will never share your name or contact information unless legally required to do so. You always remain anonymous. Our sole purpose for collecting information is to route you more questions and ensure instant payment. Can you say that about Google or Facebook?

Companies / Customers Asking Questions

As a customer, 1Q costs companies $1 a response. Regardless of Askvert type (question or offer), every member response costs simply $1.

There’s no minimum, and maximums per question can be set to ensure budget adherence.

Any company can ask anyone a question, using the following targeted demographics:

  • Age
  • Ethnicity
  • Location
  • Gender
  • Industry
  • Job Function
  • Job Level
  • Education
  • Marital Status
  • Number of Children
  • Employment Status
  • Income Level
  • Religion
  • Political Affiliation

Our platform offers a variety of ways you can send targeted Askverts to our members:

  • Single Select - Multiple choice questions
  • Multiple Select - Multiple choice questions
  • Open Ended / Free-form
  • Questions with Photos (A/B testing, etc.)
  • Questions with Videos (Members must watch entire video before answering)
  • Photo Responses
  • Coupons or Offers
  • Links
  • Enhanced Net Promoter Score

It’s easy! To sign up as a Customer of 1Q and ASK questions, please click here

Click on the ‘New Askvert’ button on your History page. Follow the prompts to write out your question or offer, then select ‘Who’ you want to target followed by ‘Where’ you want to target (physically or currently). Make sure to put in the number of responses you want to receive, then press ‘Confirm’, and that’s it! Watch the results come back to you live on your results page. We make it as easy for you to perform marketing and market research as possible. And of course, if you ever need help, just email support@1q.com.

An Askvert is just our fancy name for a paid question/offer!

MultiQ is a multiple question Askvert, that members will receive as a series of separate, consecutive 1Q questions. The best part is that members will ONLY be paid if and when they answer ALL of the MultiQ. So if it's a 3 part MultiQ, they need to answer all 3 questions to get paid for all 3. A "partial" response will not count. The biggest thing to remember is a member must answer ALL of the ‪‎MultiQ‬ to get paid.
